The Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) is a national organization formed to promote and foster a spirit of acceptance, dignity and respect for women golfers.
We build business relationships, personal friendships, and fun.
The EWGA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (SFBAC) schedules golf events at championship 18-hole courses throughout the Bay Area. Some events are tournaments with prizes, while others are just to play golf for individual pleasure.
The SFBAC also provides events for the new golfer through the "Niners" group. Events are scheduled mostly at shorter 9-hole courses. Mentors are available for some of the events to provide instruction on golf etiquette and rules.
In the pursuit of perfecting our game, we have a dynamic Education program set up every year with golf clinics around the San Francisco Bay area.
Competing / Measuring Your Game
Through our Associate NCGA Club, EWGA-SFBAC members can maintain handicap indexes and enjoy the other privileges of belonging to the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). For competitive golfers, EWGA holds an annual 3-stage tournament for its members throughout North America. Winners of our San Francisco Bay Area Chapter championship are eligible to play in the California sectional tournament. Sectional winners then advance to the Association-wide finals.
The EWGA also holds a bi-annual Association-wide Conference, next scheduled for 2009. Other Benefits EWGA-SFBAC arranges for member discounts on golf-related products and services and helps women golfers forge connections with one another.
